My Family Story

When I began my own journey into family history over 15 years ago, I had no idea where it would take me. I headed north far too quickly and spent a year chasing completely the wrong branch of my family before realising just how inconsistent old records can be. Surnames appeared in five different spellings across as many censuses. Birth certificates bore little resemblance to passport details. Even the geography tested my patience.

But I learned so much—and, more importantly, I loved every minute of it. Even the mistakes!

So I did it again… and again… and again.

And now I’ve built family trees for friends and relatives and extended networks, tracing many thousands of lives through archives, documents and long forgotten old photographs; and through online memorials such as Find a Grave. I’ve helped people reconnect with their roots—and in specials cases, reclaim their European citizenship rights, allowing them to live and work where their ancestors once did.

Today, with more than 40,000 family members identified across five continents and from over a dozen ancestry trees , I’m opening that experience to others.

I love a challenge, so if you’re ready to start uncovering your own journey do reach out.
